Skye's Personalized Senior Session at Airfield Falls in Fort Worth, TX Part 1
Skye’s personalized senior session at Airfield Falls was so amazing that I can’t help but split it into three parts! This homeschooled high school graduate is such a shining star. I can’t wait for you to meet her!
Skye is definitely not your typical high school senior. In fact, she’s one in a million! She is so adventurous, fiercely independent, multi-talented and has a heart full of passion for everything she does—including photo sessions! We planned for months on exactly what she wanted to wear and bring in terms of props. Given her years of performing on stage in front of many a crowd, she was very comfortable in front of my camera. It made my work so easy and so much fun and I pushed my creativity to match her energy and expectations.
During this series of posts, I wanted to begin with some of the more traditional photos that highlighted Skye’s beauty and elegance and of course her gorgeous red hair! The stunning green dress was perfect in this field of yellow wildflowers!
Her dedication to planning and attention to detail was unparalleled. She knew exactly which parts of her high school experience she wanted to cherish in the future, so we were able to tailor her session to include all of her most life-changing milestones.
A senior session is just not a real senior session without a few cap n gown photos! With graduation quickly approaching, these whimsical and fun cap n gown poses were a must! A few even included my popular “Class of 2023” sign. Check back next week to see what she actually planned to wear AT GRADUATION underneath her gown!! You might be really surprised!!
For the first set, Skye chose a beautiful coral-pink dress with feminine ruffles and black high heeled boots. What a fashionista! She even applied her own makeup for the session. I’m continually impressed with all of her talents!
I love to encourage my high school seniors to bring props and mementos to their photo session, and Skye went all out. She must have brought over 100 different items, and I was down for all of it!
I have to say, though, the sweetest part of the session was when Skye pulled out her late grandfather’s gray sweater, Sea Bees hat, watch, and red bird. This heartwarming tribute to him was meant to be a surprise for her mother, and what a surprise it was! I asked Skye all about her Grandfather and what these items meant to him and to her. I know he would be very proud of his granddaughter today!
Skye's senior session was filled with so many wonderful moments that we couldn't possibly fit them all into one blog post. That's why you should come back next week for Part 2, where we'll delve deeper into the artistic and creative aspects of the photoshoot. These pictures are only the tip of the iceberg in terms of the outfits and props Skye used during her session. Stay tuned for more!
