Skye's Personalized Senior Session at Airfield Falls in Fort Worth, TX Part 2
I can’t wait to show you more photos from Skye’s Personalized Senior Session at Airfield Falls! This incredible high school senior is truly a shining star, so if you missed Part 1, definitely check out last week’s post HERE. This blog post will shine a spotlight on Skye’s achievements, awards, and favorite things. She brought over 100 props and we collaborated well to make sure we captured the essence of her personality with the final images. We laughed alot and truly enjoyed our time together.
Skye spent countless hours throughout her childhood in the Girl Scouts of the USA organization. Her collection of vests and patches over the years had to be styled in a way that each moment could be seen in full display.
When you save important dirt from special times past, it must be photographed!
Fortunately, Skye was no stranger to being in front of the camera. Between theater and dance, she’s had plenty of practice being in the spotlight. This made it really easy for us to plan creative poses with a myriad of expressions. I knew I was in for a treat when she delivered from the first click of my shutter! Additionally, her experience in theater allowed her to effortlessly slip into various roles, showcasing a wide range of emotions. From dramatic poses to heartwarming moments, Skye's ability to channel her passions made for some stunning and unique images.
Whether it was her collection of pins on her beloved denim jacket or her impressive collection of playbills, we had plenty of items to highlight. The bold colors of these items only contributed to the festive nature of her senior girl session. I have no idea how much her jacket weighed, but let me tell you, it was heavy!
This is only a small sampling of all her special things that are dear to Skye. Each item hold its own story and together they have brought her joy and happy thoughts. Do you have your own similar collection? It’s ok!
Skye was super proud of reaching Black Belt in Taekwondo…and she deserves to be proud! Her self discipline in achieving such an elite status is beyond impressive. She asked if she should maybe just show her uniform alongside some medals, or actually put it on. Of course I said to put it all on and let’s go for it!
We spent three hours together, and yet it felt like just a few minutes. When she brought out the Spider Man costume, I knew this session was going to be epic. She fully intended to wear the costume under her graduation gown during her graduation ceremony, and, spoiler alert….she DID WEAR IT! Spider Man is probably my favorite super hero, so this was so fun for me, too! Her enthusiasm and willingness to explore different angles and poses allowed us to capture a gallery of energized and creative shots.
Despite the amount of time we had together, we had to move “spider” fast in order to get all the shots she wanted before sunset. Fortunately, we finished up in the nick of time, and our session was a huge success!
Be sure to check back next week for the final blog in this three-part series of Skye’s senior girl session at Air Field Falls. She played some incredible roles throughout her theater career up until now, but there’s one character that tops them all…which will be highlighted next time! We’ll also see how she decided to capture her plans for post high school! Check back!
